Marjerrie’s Reading 4 Response

The development of “A-culture” is interesting and seems to come naturally (in that anonymity will always be something wanted and cherished when attained). What would happen if users were suddenly stripped from that anonymity? Would stripping them from their anonymity be considered as a breach of their “freedom of speech”?

There was a point in the article where it talked about the racial diversity of users, using statistics as their main evidence. However, the author goes in and explains how there isn’t an easy way to get this data. How would it be possible to obtain an accurate representation of users on websites mentioned in the article? Would the most drastic measure be to get every user to fill out a form (gender, age, race, etc.) before allowing them to use the site?
