One of the points brought up in the article states: “in the cloud the user no longer needs to understand how a software program works or where his or her data really is. The important thing is that it works.” While this may be unimportant to some people, there are a large number of people who have sensitive data and care to know EXACTLY where their information is being stored. How does this affect what is really YOURS and what really belongs to the cloud. Do you lose sole ownership of data once it has been uploaded to the cloud?

Many government surveillance and snooping activities are claimed to be justified by preventing terrorism. However, only a very small handful of “terrorist” attacks have ever been thwarted by surveillance. Do you think the government is using this pretext as a ruse to indiscriminately snoop on every American? How do you feel about having your whole life available for monitoring?
