Ryan’s Response Questions – Reading #2

Last class we discussed what it means to be “accessible” (e.g., if you go to a website that dives deep into a topic you aren’t familiar with, is it still accessible?).  To me, this reading is a good example of this issue – it seems to be responding to many great debates about the internet that I am simply not familiar with.  I feel like I am reading one side of an argument, without knowing what the argument is actually about.  What are the opposing theories about the internet that this article is responding to?  Who is the author referring to as “you,” when the author is making negative statements?
